Macbeth Film Project

At first I thought that this project was going to be difficult, but it turned out that I was wrong. Even though my group did hit some pretty difficult challenges, such as losing our room the we were going to record in, our project I felt turned out a lot better then I had ever expected it to.

Macbeth

I enjoyed doing this project, there was just a lot of work in little time. It made the play seem more interesting and it was fun acting out the parts ourselves. Our group did pretty good and I'm glad we had the opportunity to do this. It was really fun!

Film project

Our project went pretty well but there were a few issues we had. Everytime we got the chance to film our set was taken down by the school. We finally just decided to use the auditorium and once we got through our filming, we realized the sound wasn't recorded. We also had trouble getting the portfolio in but eventually did but other than that it was a good experience.

Macbeth

Over all i enjoyed doing the Macbeth project. I thought it was a good way to get us familiarized with the material. The biggest problem my group had was our that our performance space kept getting taken away by the school, but we solved that and everything ended up fine. I'm sure most people have never made a movie, or even acted. I'm sure everyone did a great job and I'm excited to see the scenes!

macbeth

At first I thought that Macbeth was going to be the hero in the story, but I was wrong. It was a good play. The video project was very fun and we didn't have any major problems with meeting our deadlines.

Lilliy zulawnik blog post

I feel like my experience with this project was very good. My group and I worked very hard to meet deadlines and we were very professional and originzed with our time and I liked my group very much. I also liked how the project was formated in a certain way and how it was made much more interesting than it would have been to learn with any other teacher. I think I personally did well because I gave my all and I participated in all the activitys.

Cooperation

One of the major issues our group had was cooperation. It was hard sometimes to get everyone focused on what they needed to do, and to have everyone work well together

Salik's Post

I had a great time doing the project, but it was hard for me to act and there were a lot of mess ups. Like everytime i popped up to shoot the rocket, i popped up in a different spot. plus i needed to show some emotion.

Macbeth

I enjoyed reading and learning about Macbeth, and all the activities we did in class to accompany it were entertaining as well; Reading lines, watching the different versions, and making shoebox sets of some of the scenes. I even had a kilt for the final movie project that we did. It was more fun that I thought it would be, considering how tragic the book actually is.

Macbeth has a good plotline, and lots of room for adaptation and change, which makes it such a great novel/play to study in English. I think that learning about this work in particular really changed the way that I look at Shakespeare (I had previously only read Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest, Hamlet, and Taming of the Shrew). I hadn't really read one of his true "tragedies" (Romeo & Juliet doesn't really count). Macbeth is different, in that, while it's a very refined piece of writing, the subtext always tends toward a more ominous connotation. I'm glad I read it, and I'm glad we spent as much time on it as we did.

Orginazation

Well, for me, the hardest part of this project was organizing when to get all of the props and equipment from all of the people. We had to borrow props from friends outside the group, which was a bit of a hassle because I often had to be in more than one place to get stuff. So ya, that was the hardest part for me, what was the hardest part for you?

Macbeth's Popularity

The story of Macbeth has been so popular because it can translate into many different cultures and contexts. Macbeth plays into many different human themes such as ambition, jealousy, and power. Shakespeare deeply understands human emotion and human thinking, and he transfers that knowledge into his work. The human themes shown in Macbeth are constants in the world. They are universal emotions that everyone can relate to, so everyone understands Macbeth’s motives, regardless of how dark and twisted they are.

This project wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be - our group had a lot of problems with cooperation and learning our lines initally, but once we got the ourselves organized we didn't do that bad. Having to act it out and preform it correctly meant that we had to really read into the script and understand what we were saying. Reading into the script like we had to, I know gave me a better understanding of what I was reading and made it easier to portray the proper emotions in my performance.

Macbeth Relativity

Macbeth is really an age old story that has repeated itself through history multiple times, the power hungry villian, and the enemy that will eventually kill him. Although many times this awful story has been repeated people still don't learn. Wars about power are still being commited, murders of leaders still taking place, and people struggling for power. I think that Macbeth is relative to almost every change of power in any government.

This is Kayla Boulanger's Entry

This project was very fun! I had a great time working with my group snd we had some problems, but we worked them out. This project is very independent. You do everything on your own and I like that. I had fun recording the our scenes and had a lot of smiles and laughs.
